GIVING

It's amazing to see God's creativity, love, and generosity on full display each and every day.

Grace Church - Letting the Blessings Flow: Our Promise to You!

Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not regretfully or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians
9:7)

Grace Church is supported primarily by the voluntary gifts of its members and friends. These gifts come in various ways: time, talents, service as well as financial commitments. Every gift of any size is blessing for Grace Church. The Financial Leadership Team at Grace considers it a spiritual covenant to be good stewards of every financial commitment made to the ongoing mission and ministry of Grace Church. As part of this covenant, we promise that every gift will go to the purpose designated by the donor. If you ever have any questions, considering Grace Church’s financial policies, please don’t hesitate to contact the Pastor or any member of the Grace Church financial team at finance@gracehummelstown.org

Most frequent questions and answers

“ Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” (Hebrews 13:16)

Christians give because they believe God has blessed them. We should give not out of command or duty, but always out of love. We believe that when we give we have the ability to extend the blessing of Christ to someone else. At Grace Church, we have repeatedly seen how the financial commitments of our church family have produced not only spiritual harvest but also a tangible gift to many in need in our nearby community. Our giving truly is spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

“All tithes from the land, whether the seed from the ground or the fruit from the tree, are the LORD’s; they are holy to the LORD.” (Leviticus 27:30)

How much should I give? To this question, Scripture teaches about the tithe, the first ten percent of our income. While it is a Biblical standard, it was not meant to be a tax or an assessment. Rather it is to be a goal for every person as they seek to honor God and support ministry. At Grace Church, we realize that different people are in different places in their lives and giving a tithe may not be possible right now. However, we believe God wants us to grow in love as well as commitment. It is our hope that as God increases his blessing in your life, so you will increase your blessing in your financial commitment.

People at Grace Church give in a variety of ways: a single gift or a scheduled recurring donation, online, through the mail or in person. We are always supportive of the choice you make to share your financial commitments. At Grace Church, we also use the VANCO online giving format which is very easy to use and is free for any individual to use. This is a very safe and secure format and always available for your inspection and comfort. Grace Church also has the ability to receive stocks as well as other investment gifts. Please contact any member of the Finance Committee if you have any questions about your gifts at finance@gracehummelstown.org
