Friday, March 30th – GOOD FRIDAY

Walks start at 12:00pm, 1:00pm, and 7:00pm, “The Way of the Cross” is a mindful devotion which remembers Jesus’ journey to Calvary. Each walk consists of nine stations throughout the church, starting in the Narthex. Each station represents a stage of this journey starting with the end of the last supper through the death of Jesus on the cross. Remembering Jesus’s suffering and death allows us to understand the power of God’s gift of forgiveness through the resurrection of His son.

Study: “Paul the Apostle – What Culture Doesn’t Want to Hear” / By: David Nasser
Where: Grace Church, Room 202
When: Thursday, Feb. 15th – Thursday Mar. 15th (once a week) at 6:00pm
Americans live in a culture that places high emphasis on entertainment, achievement and self. It’s increasingly difficult for Scriptural Truth to cut through the noise and sink into our hearts. But when we stop and study Scripture, the culture we live in faces the same problems as the early church.   This study uses the life of Paul to highlight how followers of Christ can stand up to cultural “norms” and stand firm in Christ.
If you need a log-in to RightNow Media, please email the church office at office@gracehummelstown.org.

“Open Door” / Modern Worship Service at Grace

Starting on February 4, join us for a contemporary worship service at Grace United Methodist Church every Sunday at 9:35am.  This service will include music from the Grace UMC Worship Team (featuring guitars, drums, additional band/orchestra instruments, and vocals) along with the traditional United Methodist Service elements.
In addition, Gathering Grounds will be continuing in the Fireside Room to get a drink and snacks before and after the service.  If you have any questions, or wish to be involved with playing, singing, hospitality or a service prayer team, please contact Luke Forshey at lukeforshey@gracehummelstown.org.
We hope to see you there as we worship God in a more modern way!
