Santa Luncheon

On  Saturday, December 9th, Grace was host to Santa and Mrs. Clause!

A Santa Breakfast was hosted for all community members on this Saturday! A yummy breakfast was served! The kids were able to do crafts and shop for their family members in our Elf workshop… and of course visit with Santa & Mrs. Clause.

In the afternoon, a Santa Luncheon was hosted for local, marginalized families with children in our neighboring schools.  These families will be able to experience the same activities as the morning event, as well as a live nativity. Due to the generosity of volunteers, we were able to give 90+ kids a place to learn about birth of Christ as well as experience the love and fellowship of their local community.

Ready for School Program

Grace sponsored the Ready for School Program for the 17th year this school-year!

The Ready for School Program helps to support marginalized families in our community who need school supplies in time for back to school. The Grace Family succeeded in helping 415 students in our surrounding school districts by having their basic school supplies ready and waiting for them the first day of the 2017-2018 school year.

Donations are collected all year-round!  You can help us reach our goal by supporting the project with prayer, supplies and monetary donations. On average, a fully-stocked backpack cost is $40 and when you multiply $40 by the 415 backpacks needed this past year, the amount can be overwhelming. We are able to purchase backpacks and supplies in bulk at a savings, but still need to raise over $10,000 to meet the needs of the schools this year. We start collecting school-supply donations throughout the summer months to help us reach our goal.

We can all share our blessings with others and make a difference in our community. Any questions, contact Tammy Houck at tammyhouck@gracehummelstown.org or 566-2897.
