Grace Child Care Staff

Diane Ehrhart
I’ve been an Assistant Teacher at Grace Christian Child Care since 2011, working in various classrooms throughout the center in the afternoons. I also work in the nursery during Sunday Services at Grace United Methodist Church. I’ve spent the better part of my life caring and nurturing children. I have three children of my own, and I’m blessed to be a part of my granddaughter’s life. In my spare time I enjoy photography, cooking, and being outdoors.

I have been a part of GCCC since it was established in 1992. I have worked in every classroom over the years, and even prepared the children’s meals for several of those years. Currently, I am a teacher in the Jelly Bean classroom with children ages three and four. I enjoy teaching your children new things and love watching them learn and grow. They truly put a smile on my face each and every day. Thank you for allowing me to be part of their lives. Just a few things about me: I like reading books, taking photos of just about everything, and I also love going to the beach.

I started at Grace Christian Child Care in September 2016. I am currently helping out in the Puppy room in the mornings, and in the afternoons I am in the infant room. I grew up in Hummelstown and graduated from Lower Dauphin in 2011. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I started out babysitting when I was 12 and enjoy children of all ages. I enrolled at HACC for elementary education but later switched my major to baking and pastry, which I also enjoy doing. After being in the culinary field, I realized that working with young children was something that I was meant to do. In my spare time, I love being able to be with my boyfriend, family, and friends. I look forward to working at GCCC and getting to know everyone!

I started working at Grace Christian Child Care in May 1998. I have worked in every room and with children of all ages, from babies to school-age children in first through fifth grade. My primary classroom to work in during the school year is the Big Kidz classroom with Kindergarten and school-age children. While working at GCCC, I attended Millersville University and completed my Elementary Education Degree. I also attended Penn State University and completed my Master Degree in Teaching & Curriculum (creating and writing effectively), and have obtained a Reading Specialist Certification. I am married with a young daughter. Her name is Sara, and she also attends GCCC.

I have been in the childcare field since 2002 and at Grace Christian Child Care since 2007. I have earned a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) for teaching infants and toddlers. In my spare time I enjoy working in my flower gardens, reading, and going camping with my family. And I love spending time with my grandson! I currently work in the Little Roos classroom, caring for and nurturing the littlest ones at GCCC. It is truly a pleasure watching them grow and learn through the year, and eventually seeing them “graduate” to the Busy Bees classroom when they turn one year old.

I have been with Grace Christian Child Care since 1996. I started in the two-year-old room, spent a year in the one-year-old room, and then found my real “home” with the infants. It is wonderful to be able to be a part of a great Christian-based work family, and to bring children up in an atmosphere where they are all loved and continually learning about God’s love for them. I love spending time with my two girls (Andrea & Kristina), reading, going out to dinner, vacations to Tennessee, and quality time with family.

I was raised in Lancaster County, PA. My maiden name of Stoltzfus is a typical Pennsylvania Dutch name. I am a lifelong learner, always looking for new adventures and creative outlets. Some of my hobbies include reading, gardening, baking, and pampering my three cats. My love for music led me to study at the University of Georgia where I received a Bachelor of Music Degree. Prior to teaching at Grace Christian Child Care, I worked in Activities and Social Services for Senior Citizens. When my husband and I moved to the Hummelstown area in the year 1999, I “switched gears” and started teaching at GCCC. Most days you will find me teaching the Kindergartners and working with the children in Grades 1 – 5. During the summer months, I teach in the older preschool class. Thank you for the privilege of being a part of your child’s care and education. May each child know that they are special and a creative expression of God.

I live in Elizabethtown with my husband of 40+ years and “Ginger”, our 14 year old Cockapoo. I have two married daughters and three grandchildren. I received my bachelor degree in Elementary Education from Millersville State Teachers College (now known as Millersville University). I have many, many years of classroom experience in nursery school and elementary school settings. During my 2 ½ years at GCCC, I have been a teacher in the Busy Bees and Puppy Playhouse classrooms, and now I am a fulltime floater – which means I go where I am needed most on any given day. In addition to teaching, guiding, nurturing and loving the children here at Grace, I am involved with Children’s Ministries at my home church and serve as a deaconess. I enjoy reading, cooking/baking, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with my family. As a result of family connections, I am also a Penn State football armchair cheer leader.

I grew up in Palmyra, and graduated from Palmyra High School. Go Cougars! I started working at Funck’s Restaurant in Palmyra when I was sixteen. Later, I was employed at the Hershey Medical Center. I currently work two jobs: I’ve been a chef at Country Meadows Retirement Home for eight years, and I’ve been at Grace Christian Child Care for almost five years. I’m in the Big Kidz classroom in the morning, welcoming the children and helping serve breakfast. Then we gather in the gym for scripture, prayer, and games before the school buses arrive. I have one child – a son – who is the most important thing in my life. I like to scrapbook, read, use my iPad, play games, and travel with friends and family. I am hoping that someday my mother, brother, son, and I can buy a house together. My mother just turned 81 and I want to be able to take care of her since has done so much for me.

I started working at Grace Christian Child Care in April 2015. I am currently working with the infants in the Little Roos room, and help close the Busy Bees room at the end of the day. I look forward to “floating” throughout the classrooms during the summer. I grew up in the Lower Dauphin School District my whole life and graduated from L. D. High School in 2013. I love working with the children, being able to bring a smile to their faces, and helping them grow as an individual. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am currently going to Harrisburg Area Community College and plan on transferring to Penn State Harrisburg, majoring in the education field. I look forward to working at GCCC and getting to know everyone!

I began my childcare career in 1992 after receiving an Associate Degree in Education/Teaching from Harrisburg Area Community College. I started at Grace in 1998, leaving in 2002, only to return in 2007 after dabbling in being a Director at another center. Nothing compares to the atmosphere at Grace! During the school year I work in our Preschool Classroom, and in the summer I work in our Summer Camp Program for school-agers. I grew up in Hummelstown and am a graduate of Lower Dauphin High School. My husband, three sons, and two dogs still call Hummelstown home. In my spare time, when I have some, I enjoy reading a good book, shopping, and hanging out with my family.

I began working at Grace Christian Child Care during the summers in 2000.  I began working full-time in November 2002.  I have worked in every room from Little Roos (infants) through Summer Camp (K – 5). Children have always been a passion of mine. I enjoy helping children in the process of learning and growing, knowing that each child is unique and develops at his or her own pace. During the school year you will find me “chasing” after the young toddlers in the Busy Bee classroom. Working with young toddlers is very rewarding. It always brings a smile to my face when they reach a milestone and get so excited over their accomplishments. In the summer months I take a break and venture out on field trips with the Camp program. It is a great change of pace and I definitely appreciate the value of a child being able to tell you what they need or want, as conversations are limited with the toddlers during the school year. ? On the weekends you will find me camping, attending dirt track races, or just relaxing with a good book. During football season you will hear me yelling at the television cheering on the Dallas Cowboys! I have developed many professional relationships with all of the families of GCCC, old and new. I hope to continue those relationships for many years to come. Someday I will be proud to have my own children be a part of this amazing family.

I began working at GCCC in 2001 in the Summer Camp Program. At that time I was earning my Bachelor Degree in Applied Behavioral Science at Penn State University. Upon graduation, I accepted a fulltime position in the Sunshine Corner classroom. Each summer I have had the opportunity to continue being a part of the Big Kidz Camp Program. As a preschool teacher, each day brings a new adventure. I truly enjoy watching each child accomplish new goals. I look forward to each day and interacting with every child! When I’m not busy preparing for school, you’ll probably find me shopping!! I can always find a good bargain. I also enjoy reading and spoiling, I mean spending time with my amazing niece and nephews.

I began working as a Child Care Professional in 1995, while obtaining my Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Education from Elizabethtown College.  I have been an employee of GCCC since February 2001, and have held my current position as Associate Director since 2002.  As Associate Director I have the wonderful opportunity of working in all of the rooms and spending time with all of our fantastic children and staff.  One stipulation I had when accepting this position was that I did not want to give up all my time in the classrooms.  I truly enjoy interacting with all ages and couldn’t see myself working exclusively in the office.  There isn’t a day that goes by that the children don’t make me laugh and smile.  I enjoy spending time with my husband and son when not working.  Our family is very involved in our local Cub Scout program and much of our time is spent attending scout functions.  You can also find me at a Zumba class 2-3 times a week, reading a book, listening to music, or playing games with my son.
