Dear Friends,

Once again our church family is at a crossroads in the life of our ministry. While we have extreme joy at all the new ministries within our congregation, structurally we are bursting at the seams! In response, Grace's leadership has convened a Building Committee to investigate the design and floor plans of an expansion to alleviate these growing pains and support the work of our mushrooming ministries. In addition, a Building Campaign Committee will examine the financial viability and commitment of our church family to this endeavor.

I want to welcome you to "Building Grace, Raising Faith", our campaign's title and theme. What follows are some of the questions - along with the answers - that cropped up during our initial planning efforts. We pray that this website will give you a good idea of the building program that is under way at Grace Church. Please make time to read and then pray about what you have read. You might have questions or feel called to participate in this important campaign. Get involved! Talk to any member of the Building Committee, the Building Campaign Committee, the church staff, Rev. John or me.

Soon you will be hearing more about this campaign, which will coincide with the Lenten season. What better way to consider our stewardship, our prayer life and our sacrifices than during the season of our Lord and Savior's greatest sacrifice, His life, given for each and every one of us. As we progress through this campaign, we will focus not only on our own sacrifices, but also on our stewardship of everything we have been given by God. As in Jesus' parable in the Gospel of Matthew concerning the master entrusting the talents to his servants while he is away, we must invest and use them wisely - not hoard and hide them, lest we risk the master's anger. God intends that we use what we have been given, whether monies, time or talents, to advance His kingdom.

So onward, Christian soldiers, into this Lenten season. Let us prayerfully consider what God would have us do, individually and as a church family. Truly we at Grace have been blessed by Him in so many ways. It is now our turn to show what kind of stewards we will be with the blessings He has bestowed.

Yours in Christ,

Clifford A. Passuello
Executive Director
Building Campaign Committee
